Government provides financial incentives for ambulance operators
The Provincial Government is providing more financial incentives for private and community ambulance operators and their employees.
An employee bonus will be awarded to all full-time private and community ambulance staff over a two-year period that will provide the equivalent of a two percent wage increase in year one, as well as a further two percent in year two.
In addition, there will a commitment bonus of $2,000 per funded employee will be provided in exchange for a return-in-service agreement.
These measures are the latest in a series put forward to address the healthcare crisis in the province.
