The provincial government is accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Camp Inclusion Grant, aimed at helping children with disabilities attend and participate in summer camps across the province.
Social Supports and Well-Being Minister Joedy Wall said the program has been expanded for the 2026-27 fiscal year with a $150,000 investment to support more families and organizations.
The grant helps cover the cost of hiring a support person so children with disabilities can fully take part in camp activities. Eligible supports may include inclusion workers, caregivers, attendants, American Sign Language interpreters, designated camp staff or other individuals identified by families.
Families can receive up to $1,000 to hire a support worker for a child attending summer camp, while organizations operating camps can access up to $5,000 to hire inclusion staff.
Application guidelines and forms are available online, and assistance is also offered by phone, text and email. Applications are available in alternate formats, and Video Relay Service calls are accepted.
The deadline to apply is May 22, 2026.
