Government launches ‘Your Rights at Work’ campaign to promote labour standards

Minister of Labour Pam Parsons has announced the launch of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s new campaign, Your Rights at Work.

This initiative aims to inform workers – particularly young and non-unionized employees – of their rights in the workplace, while helping employers understand their responsibilities under provincial labour legislation.

As part of the campaign, an updated Labour Standards booklet has been released, which outlines the rights and responsibilities of both employees and employers under the Labour Standards Act.

The booklet is now available online and will soon be available in print at employment centres throughout the province. To further raise awareness, posters and bookmarks will also be distributed to employment centres and schools.
