Government launches pre-budget questionnaire

Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador are able to take part in a pre-budget questionnaire.

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is February 10. It can be completed through engageNL.

The questionnaire focuses on assessing the priorities of residents and determining the level of support for various measures to reduce the deficit and provincial debt.

It also includes an interactive tool to illustrate the government’s fiscal situation and the challenges of balancing the budget.

Recently the province has improved its credit ratings and still has a plan to reach a surplus position by 2026-27.
