Government Launches App to Increase Access to Health Care

The provincial government is launching a new app for health care in the province.

The new MyHealthNL app provides residents with easy, digital access to personal health information from their mobile phone, tablet and computer. This enables them to adjust their lifestyle, as necessary, and have informed conversations with health care providers.

Current services on the app allow users to view:

• Lab results (excluding pathology)

• General Radiology reports

• Dispensed medications from community pharmacies

• Allergy information

• Other e-health resources, such as health library, and access to Bridge the gap

The app will be expanded in the coming months to include more services, such as integration to virtual care, access to an online health system checker, and the ability to view certain appointments.
