The Department of Education is expanding the availability of Kids in the Know, a school-based body safety program for K-9 students.

Kids in the Know is the Canadian Centre for Child Protections’ national safety education program. The program engages students with interactive activities to help build skills that increase personal safety and reduce the risk of victimization online and offline.

The program is in 58 schools in the province and will be available in all K-3 classrooms by the end of the current school year.

Education Minister Krista Lynn Howell said, "This will be an important tool for educators that complements current programming for students."
