Gasoline Prices Drop Slightly as Diesel and Heating Fuels Increase

Motorists in Newfoundland and Labrador are seeing a small decrease in gasoline prices, while diesel and home heating fuel costs have risen following the latest fuel price adjustment by the province's fuel regulator.


Gasoline decreased by up to 0.9 cents per litre.


Diesel prices increased by up to 2.9 cents per litre on the Island portion of the province. In western Labrador, diesel prices rose by 3.0 cents per litre.


Home heating fuels also saw increases. Furnace oil on the Island increased by up to 2.48 cents per litre, while stove oil in western Labrador rose by 2.62 cents per litre.


The Board's next regularly scheduled fuel price adjustment is set for Tuesday, July 21.
