The Public Utilities Board has used the interruption formula once again to adjust gasoline prices.

Gasoline has increased by 11.3 cents per litre.

In a statement, the board said, "there has been a significant upward shift in the benchmarks used by the Board to set maximum prices for gasoline motor fuels."

The next scheduled price adjustment is on Thursday.

This latest adjustment has sent gas prices as high as 2.17 on the Avalon, up to 2.19 in Central, 2.18 in western Newfoundland and 2.26 in Churchill Falls.
