Furey in Scotland for UN Climate Change Conference


Premier Andrew Furey is in Glasgow, Scotland for the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties.


The summit is meant to bring parties together to speed up action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement.


The goal is to get to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century to keep global warming to within 1.5 degrees.


Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is also at the event along with other world leaders.


The United Kingdom is hosting the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties, known as COP26 in Glasgow. The Conference concludes on November 12.
