Funeral for George Murphy this morning

George Murphy will be laid to rest today. The funeral takes place at 11:00 am this morning.

Murphy died suddenly on June 5. He was 58.

Murphy was best known for his weekly gas predictions.

He was also an MHA and ran for both the Liberal and NDP party. Murphy represented the electoral district of St. John's East for the Newfoundland and Labrador New Democratic Party.

He also ran in 2003, a By-Election in 2010, the 2019, and the 2021 general election.
