Funding Approved for Three Projects Through Community Housing Growth Fund

The province has approved funding for three community housing funding projects.
Masonic Park has been awarded $50,000 for pre-development costs on a new housing project that will aim to create an additional 20 units for seniors in Mount Pearl.
Connections for Seniors has been awarded $50,000 for pre-development costs on a 60-unit housing development in St. John’s, which will feature one-bedroom or studio apartments that focus specifically to the needs of seniors.
Killick Ecovillage Cooperative has been awarded $50,000 to complete their pre-development activities on Killick Ecovillage in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s. This mixed-income, community-led cohousing project will feature 30 homes connected by walking paths, with parking outside the community core and a 3,000 square foot common house.
