Maximum prices for fuel increased across much of Newfoundland and Labrador early Friday.

According to the board, gasoline prices increased by up to 2.3 cents per litre, while diesel fuel on the Island rose by up to 5.7 cents per litre. In Zones 13 and 13a in Labrador, diesel prices climbed by 7.9 cents per litre.

Heating fuels also saw increases. Furnace oil on the Island rose by 4.94 cents per litre, while stove oil in Labrador’s Zones 13 and 13a increased by 6.84 cents per litre. Propane heating fuel increased by 3.2 cents per litre.

The board said the changes reflect fluctuations in international commodity markets.

The next regularly scheduled fuel price adjustment is set for Friday, Feb. 20.
