Fuel prices increase again across Newfoundland and Labrador

Fuel prices rose across Newfoundland and Labrador early Friday after the Public Utilities Board set new maximum prices for regulated petroleum products.
All grades of gasoline increased by up to 0.7 cents per litre. Diesel motor fuel rose by up to 4.3 cents per litre on the Island and by the same amount in Labrador’s Zones 13 and 13a.
Heating fuels also saw increases. Furnace oil on the Island rose by 3.71 cents per litre, while stove oil in Zones 13 and 13a in Labrador increased by 3.72 cents per litre. Propane heating fuel went up by 0.6 cents per litre.
The board’s next regularly scheduled price adjustment is set for Friday, Jan. 30.
