Fuel prices fall across Newfoundland and Labrador

Fuel prices dropped across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Public Utilities Board.
Effective 12:01 a.m. April 16, 2026, the board lowered maximum prices for gasoline, diesel and home heating fuels in most areas of the province. The adjustments reflected recent changes in global commodity markets.
Gasoline prices decreased by up to 4.3 cents per litre. Diesel saw a larger drop, falling by up to 10.6 cents per litre on the Island and up to 8.0 cents per litre in western Labrador.
Home heating fuels also declined. Furnace oil on the Island dropped by 9.19 cents per litre, while stove oil in Labrador decreased by 6.12 cents per litre.
The next regularly scheduled price adjustment was set for April 17.
