Fuel prices decreased across Newfoundland and Labrador following the latest adjustment by the Public Utilities Board.
The Board announced that all types of gasoline motor fuel decreased by up to 7.8 cents per litre. Diesel motor fuel prices on the Island dropped by up to 7.7 cents per litre, while diesel prices in western Labrador decreased by 9.1 cents per litre.
Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island decreased by 6.64 cents per litre, while stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador fell by 8.36 cents per litre.
Meanwhile, propane heating fuel increased by 3.0 cents per litre.
The changes were based on the most recently available market data as of the close of business on May 20. The Board said the adjustments also reflected increases in wholesaler and retailer costs to supply petroleum products in the province.
The Board’s next regularly scheduled price adjustment is set for Saturday, May 23.
