The province’s fuel pricing regulator has announced new maximum fuel prices for both the Island and Labrador, with changes reflecting fluctuations in global commodity markets and the seasonal transition to spring fuel blends.

For consumers on the Island portion of Newfoundland and Labrador, the price adjustments take effect immediately. Gasoline prices dropped by as much as 3.2 cents per litre, while diesel decreased up to 5.0 cents per litre. Furnace oil used for home heating fell by 4.09 cents per litre, and propane heating fuel saw the largest cut, dropping by 7.0 cents per litre.

In Labrador, the adjustments are mixed and vary by region. For Zones 10, 11, 11a, 11c, 12, and 14, gasoline and diesel prices increased by 1.1 cents per litre.

However, in Zones 13 and 13a, gasoline prices fell by 1.9 cents per litre, while diesel decreased by 1.6 cents per litre.

Stove oil prices will remain unchanged in most Labrador zones, except in Zones 13 and 13a, where a decrease of 2.59 cents per litre is in effect. Propane heating fuel prices saw a uniform reduction of 7.0 cents per litre across all zones in Labrador.

The changes for Labrador also reflect updates following the Petroleum Products Pricing Review, aimed at refining how prices are set in the region.
