An area of low pressure will send precipitation across Newfoundland overnight.

It will be cloudy across Newfoundland with widespread precipitation developing this evening or overnight. Coastal areas (including St. John’s and the Avalon) will see freezing rain changing to rain, while inland areas turn to snow, ice pellets, or mixed precipitation (2–5 cm in many areas).

Temperatures range from around 0°C near the coast to -6°C inland.

Partly cloudy skies are expected across Labrador with a risk of flurries for the north coast.
