
Four people displaced and one animal has passed away following a centre city house fire on on Monday night

Four people have been displaced from there home and one animal has died following a house fire in the center city of St. John’s on Monday night.
Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department got the call around 8:55 p.m. on Monday night from a neighbour saying that a house was on fire on Suvla Street in the city’s centre.
When crews arrived smoke was visible from the rear of the house firefighters made quick work knocking down the fire. The home had significant smoke and fire damage.
All of the occupants of the home were not home at the time of the fire. Four pets were inside the house at the time of the fire one animal was treated by firefighters and Newfoundland health services paramedics one other animal sadly did not make it. There were no other injuries to report. It is unknown how the fire started it is under investigation.
