Four arrested in west coast drug busts

The RCMP - RNC JFO West arrested several individuals in relation to drug enforcement on the west coast.
On Monday, officers attended a residence on Oakes Road in Corner Brook and executed a search warrant. 30-year-old Alex Payne was arrested. Officers located and seized a taser, a quantity of cocaine, illicit cannabis, more than $4000.00 cash, and items consistent with drug trafficking. Payne appears in court today to face a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
On Friday officers arrested three individuals during a traffic stop in Deer Lake. Officers searched the vehicle and seized crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking. The three arrested were 36-year-old Shamus Harris, 31-year-old Miranda Patey and 28-year-old Jake Williams. All attended court and were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. The three were released and are set to attend court at a later date.
Both investigations are continuing.
