Forestry Operating Plans Now Available for Public Review

The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture have released a five-year forestry draft operating plans for Forest Management Zones 1, 2, 3 and 7 and Forest Management Districts 21 and 22 located in the province.

The public can view maps identifying geographic locations for each zone and district, maps highlighting areas of proposed forestry activities, information about types and volume of trees to be harvested for domestic and commercial purposes, plans for resource road construction and silviculture activity, and general time frames associated with forestry activity.

The deadline to submit feedback is Friday, August 13, 2021.
