Forest Access Roads to Close During Spring Thaw

As of this coming Wednesday (April 15) forest access roads in the Point Leamington, Botwood, Lewisporte, Glenwood, Birchy Bay, Gander Bay, Gambo and Glovertown areas will be closed to vehicle traffic until further notice.

It is that time of year where road closures are required to protect roads from vehicular damage during the spring thawing period.

These forest access roads remain open to snowmobiles and ATV’s, however, individuals using these modes of transportation are expected to adhere to physical distancing protocols established by the provincial Chief Medical Officer of Health.
