First speed cameras operating and issuing tickets

The provincial government has announced the location of the newest speed camera installed.

Two speed cameras are already operating on the Veterans Memorial Highway, one in each direction, and one speed camera is operating at the intersection of Waterford Bridge Road and Nottingham Drive in St. John’s.

A fourth camera will be installed on Larkhall Street near Larkhall Academy and Leary’s Brook Junior High in St. John’s and will be operational for the start of the school year in September.  

Locations were chosen based on available traffic data.
