Firefighters from the St. John's Regional Fire Department, along with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and NL Health Services (NLHS), responded to a commercial structure fire at Bishops Meaden Manor on Macloughlan Street shortly before 5:00 p.m.

Five fire stations were involved in the response, including West-End Fire Station, Brookfield Fire Station, Central Fire Station, Kent's Pond Fire Station and Kenmount Fire Station.

Upon arrival, firefighters promptly deployed attack lines and established a supply line. Moderate smoke was observed within the building, and while the cause of the smoke was initially unclear, fire crews quickly identified and resolved the issue.

There were no injuries reported.
