Firefighters made quick work of a basement fire in a Shea Heights home late Wednesday night.
Firefighters received a call at around 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday night reporting a fire in a residence on Chafe Avenue. When firefighters arrived on scene they made quick work knocking down the fire located in a unfinished basement.
A part of the basement did sustain some damage due to the fire, the house which was filled with smoke was vented by using a fan.
At least two people were displaced as a result of the fire and no serious injuries were reported, it is also unknown what caused the fire.
