Fire destroys home in Bishop’s Cove

A fire destroyed a home in Bishop’s Cove on Wednesday evening.

There were two occupants in the home. One woman was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours as crews battled the blaze.

The fire also spread to a nearby brush area.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
