Fire crews respond to vehicle fire on Pitts Memorial Drive, Saturday night

Firefighters made quick work of a car fire on Pitts Memorial Drive at just around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.

It happened on Pitts Memorial Drive in the westbound lanes just east of the Commonwealth Avenue exit in Mount Pearl.

When crews arrived on the scene the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and on the side of the road.

There didn't appear to be anyone in or around the vehicle at the time.
