Fire crews respond to minor fire at Mckinlay Place apartments in downtown St John's, Monday afternoon.

Crews with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) responded to Mckinlay Place apartments, which is located on Lemarchant Road, shortly before 3:30 p.m. reports from residents Indicate that a small fire had started in one of the unit's on the second floor of the building. Fire crews were able to locate and extinguish the small fire with fire extinguishers, there were no attack lines, and nor a supply line established. Firefighters used a box fan to clear the smoke from the second floor.

There were no injuries.
