Fire crews respond to massive residential structure fire in Paradise, late Wednesday night

ST JOHN'S NL. - Paradise


St John's Regional Fire Department

Communication center in St John's received Multiple 911 calls for a Residential structure on St Thomas's Line between Stapletons Road and Laurie Road in Paradise, late Wednesday night.


Fire crews responded from multiple stations including Paradise Station, Mount Pearl Station, Brookfield Station, West-End Station, and Central Fire Station.


Fire crews arrived on the scene and were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Crews set up an attack line and started a defence attack on the home. Fire crews were on the scene of the fire for roughly three hours or more to make sure the fire was out and everything was safe.


Reports from the scene indicate that three to four occupants were in the home at the time of the blaze and quickly evaluated the home. No Reported Injuries from this blaze.


RNC also attended to a single vehicle gone into a ditch on St Thomas Line near Hickeys Road. No injuries were reported from that crash.


RNC are investigating the cause of the blaze.
