Fire crews respond to commercial structure fire in the early morning hours on Monday

Fire crews from St John's Regional Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire at the Colonial Automotive shop on Hamilton Avenue in St John's, in the early morning hours.

Fire crews were on the scene for roughly two hours to deal with the incident.

Traffic on Hamilton Avenue was slowed in the area, and Shaw Street from Hamilton to Eric Was closed so the firefighters could lay attacks lines and a supply line.

No injuries were reported.
