Fire crews quickly extinguish residential structure fire in central St John's, late Friday night.

St John's Regional Fire Department crews responded to reports of a residential structure fire on Pennywell Road near Kitchener Avenue in Central St John's, Late Friday night.


Fire crews received the call that a bedroom was on fire inside the home but when fire crews arrived on the scene minutes later they found heavy smoke coming from the home.


Reports from the scene indicate that all the opponents of the home escaped injuries.


SJRFD Crews were on the scene for roughly an hour and thirty minutes to make sure the blaze was fully under control and out. RNC and NL Health Services also attended the scene.
