Fire crews easily handle minor fire at a home in Paradise, early Saturday night

Fire crews quickly handled a minor fire at a home in Paradise on early Saturday night. Around 8:30 p.m., firefighters were called to a fire at a residence in the Elizabeth Park area of Paradise. Reports suggest the fire originated at the rear of the house. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke emanating from the back of the home and discovered a fire, prompting them to deploy an attack line to extinguish it.

Fortunately, there were no reported extensions to the home, but some minor smoke and water damage occurred. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

A total of 16 firefighters from five stations, including Paradise Fire Station, Mount Pearl Fire Station, Brookfield Fire Station, West-End Fire Station, and Central Fire Station, responded to the incident.

There were no reported injuries.
