Fire at Exploits Nordic Ski Club

On Friday night the Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Department received a call about a fire at the cross-country ski facility on Scott Avenue, owned by the Exploits Nordic Ski Club.

The fire was contained to their groomer shed. There was a small amount of damage and the fire crew were able to prevent a serious forest fire from starting.

The club announced that their new Skandic snow machine and Tiddtech groomer are a total loss, along with a number of other items such as a splitter, spare skis and boots.

If anyone has information on the fire, they are asked to contact the Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP.
