Field Street Residents asked to shelter in place

There is an increased police presence on Feild Streetin St John's. The matter is contained to a residence, and there is no threat to public safety at this time.

However, please remain away from the area while police conduct their investigation. Police are asking that anyone on Feild Street to shelter in place.

The situation is still contained to a residence, and there are significant resources on scene for the investigation.

Newfound News' Matthew Peddle is on the scene and reports the Tactics Team and K9 are there and guns are drawn on a home. The road remains closed.
