Female sustains serious injuries after assault in St. John's

A female has sustained serious injuries after an assault in St. John's on Friday evening.

The RNC arrived on the scene and located a female with serious injuries. The female was transported to the hospital with her injuries.

A 17-year-old male was identified as the and was arrested a short time later. The male was charged with; aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.

The accused will appear in court this morning.
