Female Dead After ATV Accident #nltraffic

A 24-year-old woman from Corner Brook has died after a single side by side all-terrain vehicle accident on Bear Cove Cabin Road near the community of Westport.

A 25-year-old male passenger from La Scie sustained minor injuries.

On Sunday morning the RCMP in RCMP received the call.

Both individuals were taken to the hospital. The driver succumbed to her injuries. The passenger was released from the hospital the same day.

Neither were wearing helmets or seatbelts.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
