Federal Excise Tax removal results in fuel price decreases

The Federal Excise Tax has been removed from both gasoline and diesel today.

As a result, gasoline decreased by 11.5 cents per litre and diesel dropped 4.6 cents.

Furnace oil, stove oil and propane heating fuels are exempt from Federal Excise Tax.

The Board’s next price adjustment is on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
