Federal and Provincial Holiday on Monday

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that Monday, September 19th will be a federal holiday to provide federal employees with the opportunity to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The funeral will be held on Monday.

Provincial government offices, schools and other entities will also be closed.

The provincial government is asking businesses and other organizations to commemorate Her Majesty in a manner that works best for them.

It will be up to each individual business to decide whether to close or not.
