Evacuation Order Issued for Burnt Point-Gull Island-Northern Bay

An immediate evacuation order has been issued for the unincorporated area of Burnt Point-Gull Island-Northern Bay as a result of extreme wildfire behaviour in the area.

Impacted residents are advised to head north on route 70, and to register with the Canadian Red Cross at the reception centre in Carbonear at Carbonear Academy, 88 Valley Road, or by calling 709-729-0921.
