Erratic Driver arrested following hit and run collision in St John's, Monday morning

Shortly before 11:00 a.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a hit and run collision in the center city of St.

John’s. Upon arrival, Muiltple people reported that a Honda Civic was driving erratically in the

area and had collided with another vehicle then fled from the scene.


A Short time later, Police located the Honda

Civic in the downtown area of St. John’s and charged the 31-year-old male driver with failure to

remain at the scene of an accident, driving without due care and attention and resisting arrest.


The male was conveyed to the St. John’s City Lock-Up. The Honda Civic, which had sustained

significant damage during the incident, was impounded.
