Emergency crews were kept busy last night, following three moose-vehicle collision between Goobies and Whitbourne.
The first collision occurred, shortly before 10:20 p.m. Sunday night, The Sunnyside and Come By Chance Volunteer fire department along NL Health Services and Clarenville RCMP were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident were a single vehicle that had struck a moose just east of the Come By Chance turn off on the Trans Canada Highway.
due to the crash, One person was transported by ambulance to Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville for what are believed to be minor injuries.
The second collision occurred, shortly after 10:35 p.m. Sunday night, The Whitbourne Fire Department, NL Health Services and Whitbourne RCMP responded to a moose-vehicle collision between Whitbourne and Chapel Arm which is roughly 7.1 kms west of Whitbourne on the Trans-Canada-Highway.
Unknown injuries following this collision but the collision was not serious in nature.
The third collision occurred, shortly after 10:50 p.m. The Sunnyside and Come By Chance Volunteer Fire Department along with NL Health Services and Clarenville RCMP were dispatched to another moose-vehicle collision just east of Goobies on the Trans-Canada-Highway between Sunnyside and Goobies.
Reportedly only minor injuries were sustained in this collision.
