Emergency crews kept busy Sunday night responding to accidents between Whitbourne and Goobies

On July 21,2024 the first car accident that occurred was approximately 7 kilometres West of Whitbourne a pickup truck collided with a moose. Whitbourne RCMP along with Newfoundland Helath Service Ambulances attended the scene. There are unknown injuries at this time.

The second accident occurred just before 10:20 PM on July 21, 2024 just East of the Come By Chance/Sunnyside exit in the Eastbound lanes. The small car collided with a moose the lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for what are believed to me minor injures. Sunnyside And Come By Chance Volunteer fire department along with Clarenville RCMP and Newfoundland health service ambulances attended the scene.

The third and final accident occurred just before 12:00 AM on July 21, 2024 a pickup truck collided with a moose just East of Gobbies the driver of the pickup was not injured in the incident. Sunnyside And Come By Chance Volunteer fire department along with Clarenville RCMP and Newfoundland health service ambulances attended the scene of this collision as well.
