Driver caught speeding at 181 km/h Near Paddy’s Pond

A 29-year-old male driver is facing multiple penalties after being caught travelling at 181 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the Trans-Canada Highway near Paddy’s Pond.
At approximately 2:38 p.m. Monday, members of RNC Traffic Services were conducting speed enforcement in the area when they observed the high-speed vehicle.
A traffic stop was initiated, and officers issued summary offence tickets for exceeding the speed limit by more than 51 km/h and for operating a vehicle with expired registration.
As a result, the driver's license was suspended on the spot and the vehicle was impounded.
