Driver arrested for impaired driving in Bay Roberts

Police arrested a 45-year-old Cupids man for impaired driving after he drove through a local drive-through food establishment with open alcohol in the vehicle on Wednesday.
The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the detachment for breath testing where he refused to provide breath samples.
While in custody, the man damaged the patrol vehicle during his transport and caused damage to a wall inside the detachment.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to attend court at a later date.
His vehicle was seized and impounded and his driver’s license was suspended.
