Dramatic crash in centre-city of St John's results in extensive damage, Sunday night.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at around 10:00 p.m, on Freshwater Road between Stamps Lane and Elizabeth Avenue at Kilick Tire and AutoCare.

The severity of the crash prompted the response of the RNC Traffic Services to investigate the cause of the crash, reports from the scene indicate the SUV was traveling westbound on Freshwater Road coming around a bend, losing control then crashing in the two garage doors and a support beam. The driver of the SUV was reportedly not to be injured in the incident.

RNC are investigating.
