Dominion Workers Ratify Contract

After 12 weeks on the picket line, the Dominion strike has ended.

Employees have ratified a new collective agreement.

“These workers were the first to undertake meaningful strike action to draw attention to a business model in Canadian retail that fails workers,” said Unifor National President Jerry Dias.

The final offer from the employer has been ratified and information on a return to work protocol will be communicated in the coming days.

The new four-year contract will be backdated to October 2019.

The 1,400 striking Dominion workers from 11 stores have been on strike since August 22, 2020.
