The Public Utilities Board adjusted fuel prices outside its regular schedule following recent developments in global commodity markets.

The adjustments applied to all regions except Zones 10, 11, 11a, 11c, 12 and 14. No changes were made to gasoline motor fuels or propane heating fuel.

Diesel motor fuel on the Island increased by up to 10.5 cents per litre, while diesel prices in Western Labrador rose by 9.7 cents per litre.

Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island increased by 9.06 cents per litre. In Western Labrador, stove oil heating fuel rose by 8.46 cents per litre.

The Public Utilities Board said the adjustments were necessary due to ongoing volatility in commodity markets.
