Department of Education Clarifies Student Supervision Policy

The Department of Education is issuing a clarification on the Student Supervision Policy, particularly in relation to school athletics.

There have been no recent changes to this policy and schools should continue to work within this policy.

A teacher sponsor is preferred but, when one is not available, a lead volunteer can be appointed by the school administrator. To emphasize, this practice is unchanged.
