Deer Lake RCMP continues to look for unaccounted guest of Driftwood Motel

The RCMP are continuing the search for 77-year-old Eugene Earl Spoon, who was last seen on the evening of October 18, 2024, in Deer Lake.

Spoon was a guest at the Driftwood Motel and has been unaccounted for since the time of the blaze.

Efforts are underway to complete a search of the fire scene. Spoon, who is visiting Newfoundland from the state of Kansas in the United States, has grey hair and is known to wear prescription glasses.

Anyone having information about the current location of Eugene Spoon is asked to contact Deer Lake RCMP at 709-635-2173.

The investigation is continuing.
