Crews battling two fires on the Avalon
Crews are battling a forest fire on Frog Marsh Road in Brigus. One home is on fire. At this time firefighters are on scene and a water bomber has been dispatched.
There is also a grass fire in Harbour Main. Homes in the area of Harbour drive are being evacuated and a water bomber has been dispatched. Harbour Drive is impassable.
The Holyrood Fire Department has responded to a mutual aid request from Harbour Main-Chapels Cove-Lakeview Fire Department.
The forest fire hazard rating is currently high or very high in some regions of the province.
