Corner Brook RNC Kept Busy on Monday Night #nltraffic



The RNC in Corner Brook was kept busy with traffic infractions on Tuesday morning that included expired registration, violating curfew, and impairment.


An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was being operated with expired registration stickers and no insurance. This resulted in the male driver being issued Summary Offence tickets for both offences and the vehicle was impounded.


Later, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was bound by a court order with conditions of curfew. As a result of this, a 27-year-old female resident of Corner Brook was arrested for breaches of Court Order. She was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date to answer to the charges.


Finally, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, it was determined that the female driver of the vehicle was exhibiting signs of impairment. The officer gave demand of Breath into an Approved Screening Device and the test resulted in the driver providing a sample that resulted in a Warn. As a result, the driver was issued a suspension of driving privileges for 7 days and the vehicle was impounded.
